To reach Monterosso the nearest motorway exit is "Carrodano" on the A12 Genova-Livorno.
At the gate follow the notices for Levanto.
At the bottom of the first descent you're in the town of Levanto, proceed for the center turning right and then toward Monterosso on the left.
Some kilometers up the slope and you'll see the notices for Monterosso after a tunnel.
- Motorway A12, exit to CARRODANO, direction LEVANTO and then MONTEROSSO.

By train

You can reach the Cinque Terre by train (along the line Genova-Rome) with regional trains which stop in every station.
That means that every town of the Cinque Terre has its own station: listed in direction Genova-La Spezia (north-south) the stations are: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore

During the summer: there is a daily boat service, which allows you not only to view and admire the whole of the Cinque Terre coastline and other places nearby, but also allows you to move about from village to village.
